Why You Should Never MOUTH BREATHE

Ugh, mouth breathing!

It's like your mouth is on permanent vacation from its job. See, saliva is your mouth's superhero, washing away icky stuff and keeping your breath fresh. But when you breathe through your mouth, that superhero gets dehydrated and weak. This can lead to cavities like crazy, not to mention bad breath that could clear a room faster than a fire alarm!

HOW TO USE TAPE IT

1. Clean and Dry

After washing your face with soap and water, clean your nose and the surrounding area to remove dirt and oils. Depending on your skin type, you might need an oil-free cleanser to thoroughly remove oils and ensure the strip's adhesive bonds properly. We usually recommend using alcohol spirit or a wiped tissue.

2. Peel Off

Carefully remove the backing liner by holding the nasal strip at each end and bending the strip inwards towards you to reveal the adhesive. Peel the backing paper from the middle, taking care not to touch the adhesive.

3. Position

Position the nasal strip correctly, not too high or too low. A strip placed too high will not be effective, and one positioned too low may not stay securely in place due to movement from nasal flaring and increased oil secretion.

4. Application

Align the strip at the centre of the nose bridge, just above where the nostrils begin to flare. Press down on the ends for 15-20 seconds and gently rub to secure. The strips are pressure-sensitive; the harder you press, the more securely they will adhere. Ensure the strip is properly sealed around the edges.

The SCIENCE Behind NOSE TAPE

Your nose is like a built-in air filter!

When you breathe through it, the air gets cleaned and warmed up, which is way better for your lungs. Nose tape acts like a tiny coach, gently opening your airways for smoother breathing. More oxygen means more fuel for your body, which translates to better blood flow and a serious energy boost.

Health Conditions & Limits

Wondering How Our Nose Strips Work?

These little lifesavers gently lift and open your nose passages. Think of them like tiny springs that hold your nostrils wider. This lets more air flow in and out, making breathing easier, especially at night or during exercise.

Are Those Nose Strips Safe For Sensitive Skin?

We hear you! Most nose strips are made with hypoallergenic, medical-grade adhesive that's gentle on most skin. But everyone's different, right? If you have super sensitive skin, do a quick patch test on your arm before sticking it on your nose. That way, you can see if it causes any irritation.

Can Nose Strips Be Used By People Struggling With Asthma Or Allergies?

No worries! Nose strips themselves don't treat allergies, but by opening your airways a bit more, they can help ease congestion and stuffiness that allergies bring on. If allergies are a big concern for you, it's always a good idea to consult with your doctor about the best course of action.

Do Nose Strips Help With Sleep Apnea?

While nose strips might improve airflow in some mild sleep apnea cases, they're not a guaranteed fix. Sleep apnea is a serious condition, and you deserve proper diagnosis and treatment from a medical professional. Talk to your doctor about the best way to manage your sleep apnea.

Is It OK To Use Nose Strips With A Deviated Septum?

For some folks with mild deviated septums, nose strips might offer some relief by opening the narrower nasal passage.
